GAME CATEGORIES:
Any player participating in any of the COMMON ENTHUSIASTS (CE) Categories cannot participate in the SEASONED PLAYERS (SP) Category
&
Any player participating in the SEASONED PLAYERS (SP) Category cannot participate in any of the COMMON ENTHUSIASTS (CE) Categories.
COMMON ENTHUSIASTS (CE):
Means only for those people who have since their birth in this life never participated in any competitive Badminton Tournaments organized at the District / State / National / International / Higher Level.
This is applicable for each Singles player & both the Doubles Teammates for these 7 categories:
CE Category#1: Ages Under 16
Gender Neutral Singles
CE Category#2: Ages Under 16
Gender Neutral Doubles
Category#3: Ages 16 & Up
Men's Singles
Category#4: Ages 16 & Up
Women's Singles
Category#5: Ages 16 & Up
Mixed Doubles
Category#6: Ages 16 & Up
Men's Doubles
Category#7: Ages 16 & Up
Women's Doubles
SEASONED PLAYERS (SP):
Means only for those people who have since their birth in this life participated at least once in any competitive Badminton Tournaments organized at the District / State / National / International / Higher Level.
This is applicable for both the Doubles Teammates in this category:
Category#8: Ages 16 & Up Gender Neutral Doubles
NOTES: The organizer does not care about your current "registration status" with any badminton association(s), or whether or not you were a ranking player / normal participant in any Tournament : We are simply focused on your "participation history" in any District / State / National / International / Higher Level organized badminton tournaments. The onus of knowing your + your teammates true participation history lies with each participant / both the doubles teammates jointly & in case any one single participant is found to be in violation, all their entry forms for this event along with all the entry forms of their partner will be cancelled without any fee refund under the logical impression that willful criteria violation is being attempted with the partner being an accomplice in this action. Each participant must honestly triple check your + your partner's past participation history before submitting any forms rather than being cunning & testing the patience & capabilities of the organizer to catch & evict criteria violators.
For additional clarity, the following levels of events are considered as below District Level (Below SP category):
Society / Community Tournaments,
School / University / College Tournaments,
Club / Corporate Tournaments.
GENDER-NEUTRAL format (applicable for the two Under 16 Age Categories & for the Seasoned Players Category) means that you / your team & your opponent / opponent team can be of any gender combination.
AGE CLARITY:
All players in each category must be within the clearly mentioned applicable age range as on the event date: 5th July 2026, Sunday.
In case of Doubles, both teammates must be of the same applicable age range of their category. There is no confusion of allowing any grace period to accomodate anyone outside the mentioned age range by even a single day.
Please check your ID cards & carefully calculate your true age as on 5th July 2026, Sunday, before choosing the appropriate category & filling the participation form.
Process for eliminating Criteria Violators from the first 7 Common Enthusiasts Game Categories:
1> The event organizer will collect & upload Game Category wise list of each participant's full legal name + birth year + a photo on this page.
2> With each category's participant list we will have an online complaint form attached where anyone can submit an honest evidence backed complaint for criteria violation.
3> If the evidence is good enough to eliminate a player, the accused player (along with his teammate in case of doubles) will be ELIMINATED with a 0 fee refund FROM ALL FORMATS they are participating in & the first complainant to provide such credible evidence will be rewarded with a flat INR 500 for assisting the organizer to maintain the event's integrity. The same reward payment will be done via UPI for keeping a digital evidence of the reward given. Such reward payments will be made on the day after the event ends: that is on 6th July, 2026.
We will not disclose the name of any complainant to protect them from any harassment from the criteria violators.
4> Since India is a country with 1 billion + population : The organizer's job is not to magically know the past participation history of each & every participant applying to play in this tournament.
The organizer's duty apart from a basic due diligence & peer review of players' lists is to transparently process the incoming complaints & put up any & all possible pressure upon intentional criteria violators to deter them from entering the Common Enthusiasts categories.
Penalties for Criteria Violators entering the Common Enthusiasts categories:
1> Criteria violators detected before the event starts will be eliminated without any fee refund.
2> Criteria violators detected after the event starts OR even after the event ends will have to pay a refund of the entire participation fees to EACH & EVERY single opponent they faced in this event.
To avoid getting caught in such messy situations, please check your past participation history carefully & honestly before filling your participation form or paying any fees to us. Do not act like the victim once we catch & name & shame any criteria violation.
NOTES:
Absence of criteria violation evidence does not give the right to any intentional criteria violator to participate without guilt : Sooner or later you will be caught & eliminated + named & shamed : Please consider this as a more than sufficient warning!
Hearsay / rumors & word of mouths are not considered as a credible / sensible evidence of criteria violation because in that case anyone can accuse everyone.
In cases where we do not find any clear evidence of criteria violation, there would be no reward given to any complainant & the organizer may choose to ignore the complaints as baseless allegations OR choose to respectfully eliminate the accused with a full fee refund due to lack of any criteria violation evidence.
Everyone is hereby requested to submit their complaints using the online complaint form as soon as you see & recognize a participant as a criteria violator. WhatsApp texts / calls / senseless chatter does not help anyone.
Also, any participant found to be withholding knowledge / evidence of any other participant's criteria violation will also be treated as equally guilty as the Criteria Violator with all these same levels of applicable Penalties.

SPECIAL NOTE TO COMMUNICATE HOW SPORTING EVENTS WORK TO FIRST TIME ATTENDEES:
The organizer cannot & will not be able to modify / change / prioritise your games over the planned event schedule because IF we have to entertain one special request, then 10 more special requests using different sane logics will come up & in that way the event will become a chaos. You must also understand the reality that the planned event schedule might run delayed during the first half of the event which can be due to unforeseen events taking place which are beyond the control of the organizer, such as crew members / umpires getting stuck & arriving late / the initial few game categories running longer than expected, etc.
Based on our past event experiences, as the event day moves ahead, towards the second half of the event, all umpires & players sync up & ensure that the event ends as per scheduled time with rarely any avoidable delay happening. So IF you chose to participate in this event, kindly bring patience & assist the event organizer with your timely presence rather than getting nervous & creating any chaos due to any delay during the procession of the event as per schedule.
